Hard to find a good pasta restaurant in the OC, but this is a place you should try. The service is friendly and the interior is bright and cozy. The pasta is cooked perfectly al dente. Only complaint is the high sodium content. I wish the food wasn’t so salty. The pesto one especially. If they can fix that, it would be near perfect.
Late post - My friends pointed me towards the charm of Old Town Tustin, and naturally, my first thought was: where's the good food? Wandering through the area, I stumbled upon this place, admittedly without much expectation. I figured it was just another spaghetti spot – hoping, of course, that the sauce would at least be decent. We arrived around 6 pm on a Monday, and initially, the place was fairly quiet. But as we settled in, a steady stream of diners began to fill the tables – a good sign! Eager to get a real taste of what they offered, we decided to go big and ordered a little bit of everything: the classic Spaghetti, a side of those essential Meatballs, a crisp Caesar Salad, some golden Calamari, a refreshing Beer, and the tempting Shrimp with Pappardelle. A specific request we made was for all the dishes to arrive together, a tall order for sure. And let me tell you, the service was absolutely on point. They managed this feat beautifully, presenting our entire spread at once – a truly impressive coordination! But the real star of the show? The food. Oh my goodness, the food! The handmade pasta was incredible, each strand perfectly cooked. And the sauce... the sauce was an absolute revelation. It wasn't just good; it was delightful, rich, and bursting with flavor. Honestly, I cannot stress this enough: the pasta and sauce here were among the best I've ever had. Every single item we ordered, from the salad to the calamari to the shrimp dish, was amazing.
I was here for the 1st time with my mom for the 1st time the food was fabulous and we enjoyed everything we got. They've even got a gluten-free pasta. Mom had the stuffed pasta with the ragu sauce, and I had the braised short rib with the gluten-free pasta. The affogato was awesome, too
Awesome Italian authentic food, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Pesto pasta with grilled chicken was too notch. The spicy arrabbiata pasta was awesome too. Came hungry and left satisfied.
This place is wonderful, great food, pasta is awesome. It is like homemade pasta. Taste is incredible, it really tastes like Italy. Gelato is also incredible. The place is beautiful. Service is also great. This is a great place for dating, or come with family.
A great place for families and big groups. The pastas were all fresh and flavourful while the noodles were absolutely cooked al dente! The salad was crisp with the right amount of toppings and dressing. The meat platter was grilled nicely and was the perfect complement to the pasta. You can choose to pair it with their house red wine to complete the overall experience. A special shoutout to the staff who accommodated our family of 11 without any issues - they were welcoming, friendly and attentive to everything the table needed. I highly recommend it!!!
Made a reservation to celebrate my birthday, and they were able to accommodate our group of 12 people. I got the half portion of the paccheri alla panna ($19) and added salmon for an additional cost. The pasta was quite good, although I would have preferred the dish to have more of the cream sauce. The salmon was pretty tender. For my birthday, they gave me a cup of vanilla ice cream with a candle, so that was a nice touch!
